Front tire wearing weird?

Front tire wearing weird?

Just put on a new front tire on cause my old one was wore out, but it was wore and cupped not down the center but right off center. Wondering what would cause this to happen? May e an alignment issue or just riding my bike crooked. Thanks in advance.

check your bearings. have you had the forks off lately?

Bearings have just been replaced but that might have been the culprit for the old tire. Just don't want the new tire to wear funny

Was it a dunlap? My nephews dyna did the same thing and we replaced the tire and no more issues. I think they had a run of defective ones that had cupping issues.

I know this sounds weird...but it's normal.

Don't ask me why, just ask the tire experts...i.e. call the tech line. Better that you hear it from them than here.

What he said... I've had the same problem forever and have asked the manufacturer as well as many others. Mine seems to be more pronounced due to my hard riding style. It's caused by the front edge of the tread being "pushed" sideways through turns. You're basically "dragging the tires sideways if you can picture that. It's totally normal and seems to be more prevalent in the softer compound tires.
