Fairing Pouch Spacers - Needed?

Thanks for the tips on this. Dealer threw in a pouch set with bike purchase, but I'm wondering about it rubbing on the windshield to the point of damage.

I worried about that too. But then decided that the odds of riding w/o the pouch set were pretty slim. If there is any damage, I'll probably never see it.

Stock windshields are a dime a dozen at swap meets and classifieds. It wouldn't cost you more than $20 to replace if it ever bothered you!!!!!

I just put mine on this past weekend. I totally get what you're saying and noticed exactly the same thing. If you read the fine print on the website, it says that if you have the chrome windshield trim and want to add the pouches, it recommends buying longer screws. The longer screws will enable you to open the space between the inner and outer fairing to remove the windshield without removing the screws and loosing the spacers. You didn't say if you had the chrome trim, but I assume you do. I didn't buy the longer screws, so it will be slightly problematic when I go to replace a windshield or remove the outer fairing. Hope this helps.
