true duels
I have a 97 Ultra,motor is built alittle,310 cams.
True duals-- vance and hines header pipes with
screamin eagle mufflers. Don't have dyno numbers,
pull a trailer alot loaded to the GILLS and ride double
up, I think it does really well. Put your true duals on
and increase your cam. Just a thought.

if i felt like i needed more torque...i'd first add torque cones....then i'd STROKE IT ...true duals belong on a bagger IMO...90ftlbs @ 2000rpm, plenty of grunt

Thank's for all the feed back, torque cones was going to be my next question, I think I'll tryem before I get rid of my pipes, my dyno guy said he would let me try a different set of pipes and if I didnt likem I didnt have to takem

When I put on V&H Duals, I could tell a definite loss on the bottom end. I made some lollipop baffles and put them in front of the mufflers. I also had to add a DFO on top of the Stage I to enrichen the fuel circuit. The bike runs pretty stout now.
My lollipops are 1" washers welded on to 1/2" studs. You can turn them like vanes to crudely tune your exhaust.

I have Hooker True Duals on my bike and feel plenty of torque. Some say you loose a little torque with the True Duals, but I dont think it is anything but a dyno could tell. The looks far outweigh the lose!!! Besides I like having two hookers hanging on my bike lol
I ran Rinehart True Duals on my 95" 03 RKC, made HP 102 and TQ 115 with other engine mods, no torque problems at all and still got 45mpg if I wore a wrist splint.
In the middle of building a 103" 07 Ultra, and sticking with Rineharts, looks and less heat are important to me. If I loose a couple of foot pounds, I will live with it - am hoping to hitTQ 120 -125 with this build.

My buddy just had the same build as me done, identical bikes, same builder. He has stock header pipes with V&H ovals. He got 96.5 HP and 101 torque, compared to my 101.10 HP and 105 torque. Yes I got slightly better peak numbers but he has 15 ft pounds more torque at 2500 rpm! That makes for a pretty snappy bike with considerably more grunt right where you need it. My rineharts are getting **** canned later this week for a fat cat with quiet baffle to see what this puppy will realy do!
I also have the V & N true duals with the V & N Ovals.....Big sucker ....and my last dyno shows
73.38 hp
80.87 tq
I have no problem with those numbers...and most of the time two-up...still scoots right along.
Been getting around 42 mpg....which is also okay.

saw a bike somewhere with a 2 into 1 pipe on the right, and a fake pipe on the left, from the back you could see no difference and from the left side as well. Can't remember where I saw it, but it was nice, best of both worlds, if I could only figure out how to do it. I am running sampson straight fishtails...maybe the worst you can run, but for me, the look is what I have to have. -Travis
