+1 on the fork deflectors. I have the new HD version and my buffeting with a helmet is virtually mon existent. Tried everything else first (6.5 klock weeks shield, hang wings, and the in between the forks ash tray deflector). Withe the deflector on the forks I am down to 4.5 klockweks and the fork mounted deflectors. I hated to do it as I think they are ugly---but WELL worth it. I am 5'9" with Danny Gray butt crack solo.

I didn't take any info.

Best I can tell you is he was an inside vendor at the Road Runners Bike Blessing yesterday.

They were perforated black plastic and hinged.

I've gotta say that's one of the more strange ideas/cures that I've ever ran across "journeyman" ... but to each his own ... and ... it may jog someone's brain onto another idea in the never ending search for eliminating buffeting ( almost sound like a hate on Jimmy Buffet )
