I just passed on some for $250 that I'd have to have painted. I may go to $400 on some really nice black ones? Yes, I'm cheap...

Default Lowers

I have vented lowers installed on my 2006 FLHT.
They not only look great, they allow me to enjoy riding when the weather is windy and chilly. I recommend highly.

I would recommend putting them on and riding with them for a while. You can always take them back off and sell them. This way you can decide for yourself whether or not you will like having them on.
Personally I keep mine on year round.

Never had them with my EGC, but am considering a set only to put speakers in. I can understand why people like them, but they aren't for me unless there's music coming out of them.

Living in So Cal, really don't need them after spring. Sure they keep the bugs and crap off of you, but restrict the air flow to you (not the motor) and in hot summer days you cook. I found it's best to take them off around now and put them back on around Oct/Nov. Running in 80+ degrees with that Cat and lowers it gets hot. I'm taking them off this weekend and storing them in the case I bought.

I only use soft lowers when it's below 50 degrees. I take my windshield off too. I like being in the wind...
