2011. Go for the larger engine and oil cooler.

I have to agree with the majority of opinions presented here as well... 103 all the way. I do own both, the 103 rocks. I dumped close to $4k in my '09 Ultra JUST in engine mods so it would pull like my 103.

If you are worried about a performance difference enough that you would consider intrusive upgrades to the engine, I'd get the 103 and leave it stock. I am not a fan of denim but either bike is essentially a new bike with little mileage.

I'd get the denim one, just for the color. But for me it would be a shark?

103 stock and offer 16,500. That denim black is just awesome! But you really have to be ok withstand the color. Demiurge is not for everyone.

My vote the 103 for all the previously stated reasons. BUT...

You said the dude was firm on the $18K price on the 103, but if you can really work the older bike down a grand or more, well, that might make sense. But in the end, it all depends on what YOU want.

Then you could use that $2k in savings for future upgrades like cams and other mods if you so wish. Either way, both motors are great and you won't be disappointed. Good luck.
