Default Which Bike?

I'm looking at picking up a new (to me) Street glide,
I've narrowed it down to 2 bikes, both are private party sellers..

2010 Vivid Black 96 engine
ABS, Security, Cruise
V&H true duals, Screaming Eagle A/F, Powercommander
4 point docking and backrest, other little misc parts
1500 miles
$17000

or

2011 Denim Black 103 engine
ABS, Security, Cruise
Stock engine
4 point docking with Backrest and other little misc parts
1000 miles
$18000

Which bike seems like a better deal? I've read a bunch of the threads on the 96 vs 103 and I have friend's that have both, some say there is a difference, some say get the 96 and use the saved 1k for some cams and a tune...

what does the internet say??

thanks for the help!!!

2011 w/103" is the way I would go. Worth a little more in the near future because of the 103",if that means anything to you. Its also a year newer for only $1k more.

+1

With the 103 being standard now resale value is worth the 1k

It would depend on the color that appeals to you. I would add that you may want to look at it a different way. Decide what you want, color, year, mods, etc then scour the classifieds. One thing I can tell you, after going through 3 bikes in 4 years, if you don't get exactly what you want, you will always be looking. Just my 2 cents. Let us know what you decide

I tossed a coin and it landed on it's edge, so you'll have to make the decision on your own...like most people do.

18 is the lowest he would go... I tried

I like both colors... Vivid because its easier to match paint when getting different parts and the denim because its not AS common out here by me...

Thanks for the help... Keep the opinions coming..

You can't get a big bore for 1k, go with the 2011 with the 103. Plus it's stock ready for YOUR input, make it your own.

I've had both - I would definitely get the 103 for the previously stated reasons.
