Lookin' at getting Some apes, I have burly apes on a sporty and love them...I've noticed that almost all the bagger bars are close to 40" wide with few exceptions...that seems awefully wide to me I'd like to stay in the 35" range at least I understand they have to be more wide because of the fairing (I have a 2013 black denim FLHX)...anyways do those of you with apes that are closer to 40" wide have complaints? any recommendations would be fantastic...I'm 5'11" and am looking for 12-13's probably...I really like the PYO monkey bars but they are back ordered and suck at customer service won't return phone calls to me or my shop I go to.
Try Vindikta if you want pyo monkey bar style bars. Joe will custom make you bars for about the same money as the yaffe bars. Way better customer service too and no ridiculous wait times.
I just installed 14" apes on my 08 Street Glide. Ordered them from Hill Country Custom Cycles out of Texas. I ordered the completely wired plug and play system. Cost right at $1K, but got them exactly like I wanted. Took me and a couple of friends about three hours to install them. Absolutely satisfied with the product. Brian was great to deal with and offered good advice. Check'em out, I think you'll be satisfied.
I also ordered my bars complete from Hill Country. 12 PYO. Everyone else had them on back order however HCC had them to me in 3 days. Great service and love the bars
I just ordered my 12 PYO Monkey Bars in Black from Hill Custom Cycle also on Thursday. He is wiring them up for plug and play. Can't wait for them to get here. Wheels arrive tomorrow.
I just did Yaffe Classic bagger apes $99.00 Gooderich brake lines , Motion Pro clutch cable drag specialties throttle cables...
Call Eastern Performance... they do a bang up job , also a Sponsor here. I did it all for less than $350.00 for all with no shipping.
