2005 FLHTC Classic, no spark after battery replacement?
My brother just picked up a 2005 Classic FLHTC. It was running a few months ago but the battery died. Replaced the battery, motor cranks and now there is no spark. Any ideas? What about the security system cutting out the ignition. We did try the computer refig in the owners manual that you are supposed to do after replacing the battery.

Check and make sure your emergency shut off rocker switch on handle bar is not flipped. Post back once you check it. "The silence is deafening."
Just how are you checking for spark. On a 05 with an ECM, if you screw both plugs out and ground them, you will not get a spark or at least a very reliable one. One needs to remain in and hooked to a wire and use a spark tester or a new plug checking one wire at a time. Also, not a good idea to just make it jump a spark from the cable to the ground.
Should charge a new battery off the bike before installing it, especially in this circumstance. Reduce the number of things on which there is any doubt!
