Default A little disappointed in Khrome Werks plus 2

Just got my new Khrome werks plus 2 sweepers on my 2011 ultra, and I like the natural hand position and the pullback, but was disappointed because you can't raise them up very high because the fairing hits them.
I'll see how it goes, but I thought others with fairings might want to know.
The Khrome Werks apes have the curve in the bar to compensate for the fairing, and I probably should have went that route.

I just put Krhome Werks 2+2's on my StreetGlide a few days ago and so far I love them, 2" higher and 2" back with no interference to the fairing at all. Take a look at the 2+2's, it might be just what you're looking for.

If ya rotate them forward ya lose the pullback. That is really what the sweepers are all about, pullback with natural hand position. If ya want more rise ya got the wrong bars.

any chance in a picture?

I'm wanting to change bars and like to see the outcome.

Also did you replace clutch cable? Does that require exhaust removal?

Thanks

Take a look at the pics in post #25. Shows the KW +2 Sweepers vs the stock EG bars. There's also some pics earlier in the thread of em installed on a bike.

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...1-wo575-3.html

I just bought these bars and can't wait to get em on the bike! For me they will be perfect. Just wanted to fix the mangled wrist position of the stock bars and get em closer to me so my shoulders and back stop killing me. The +2's are about the stock height, just closer and more relaxed wrist. The 2+2's are the same but higher

Have the 2+2 on a 2011 Ultra and like them OK. I left the wiring external for ease of installation. As the OP says the curve in the bar is a bit different than the curve in the inner fairing so tilt up is limited. I think I ended up 2 inches back and a little more than an inch higher without touching the inner fairing. I replaced the clutch cable with a +4 Magnum and did not have to remove the exhaust to get to clutch cable side of transmission but I'm not running the stock head pipe so my pipe may have had more clearance. Do not have a pic but they are basically like the +2 except a bit higher. Took me about 12 hours to put it on but dealer wanted 7 hours. Figure I paid myself to learn how the bars, fairing and wiring is all connected. Not sure I want to do it again in the near future as it was a good bit of effort.

There is a post with pics of a street glide with sweepers below yours.
I replaced the clutch cable only, and yes the right side exhaust had to be removed. The tech told me if it would have been stock exhaust he could've worked around it, but I have headers on mine. I was charged for 4.5 hours labor to do it all.

The KW 2+2 is one of the first things I did to my Ultra. Love 'em!
