My ignition switch does not turn off, it basically just goes to acc mode,in all positions even fork lock, bike runs great and starts good. Went to shut it off at buddies place and the radio and cig lighter stay hot. At one point had to switch on and off a couple times to start. took wife out to dinner and it starts and runs fine, just cant turn the power off. Have to turn off radio and acc, but the dash light stay on so I pulled the fuse. Pulled the ignition and switches, the ignition module smells burnt.
2007 FLHTCU PC-V and the spots are wired to work when highbeams on, so I have to shut them off when in acc mode.
Does this sound like I need to replace ignition? I did have better things to do on friday evening.
ignition switch went in no trouble and I put a thousand miles on since doing the spot lights. the hole the ignition switch comes out of smells of burnt electrical. Bike has been running great all spring. Switch worked in all positions including fork lock. Is that what goes wrong when you screw up alignment?
Thanks again TVan
