Torque wrench ranges
When you start getting into your engine and drive train, you need foot pounds.
Keep in mind, torque wrench accuracy is calculated in percentage. A high quality wrench will be accurate within less than 1%. That means if you set to torque 85# your accuracy will be within less than 1 ft lb. With a cheaper wrench, their accuracy can be off by as much as 10%. So that same 85% could end up being 76# or as much as 94#. Maybe not that critical at 85#, but not something you want to risk when you start talking about a compensator nut, or inch pounds.
