Sometimes going the cheap route isn't worth it. Plus I got mine at the dealer for 42.64 + tax. Not so bad for something I use quite often.

I Totally agree,no other pumps heads will not fit resessed fitting on my 95 rk rear shock fitting on side cover.

UOTE=Uncle Paul;11319066]The saving grace for the HD pump (and others of the same design) is that it does not loose even the tinest bit of pressure when you un hook it.

Other pumps can loose a significant amount of pressure from this tiny system.

They do not include in on every bike, because many people have one already from previous bikes. (or borrow their neighbors).

Bicycle pumps do not work well, and a compressor cannot regulate the tiny amount of air that is used to adjust the pressure.[/QUOTE]

Same here,'12 RK with the wife; 45-50lbs.By myself,35-40lbs.Feels like the best ride at those pressures.
I agree with the post about the HD pump doesn't lose any pressure when removing the valve.

I couldn't see spending $50.00 but did pick up a Fox that seems to work just fine.

Bought one on Amazon and works exactly like the Harley pump and at half the price. A buddy of mine just bought one at the Honda dealer for $28 and is the same thing. Only difference with the Harley pump is that you won't void the warranty by putting in non-Harley air.

I picked one up with my "one time 15% off your entire purchase" discount when I bought the SG two years ago. Glad I did. Last season, I tucked the SG in for a long Winter's nap with 40 pounds of air on the dial. Today, when I finally got her out of the shed and under the carport, the dial read less than 15 pounds!
