Don't mean to sound stupid but, the filter will suck up some of the oil when first changed. No oil meaning none on the dipstick? I assume the engine or pipes aren't showing oil. Very weird. Will be waiting to here what others say. Sorry I couldn't help

You might want to check the oil level in your primary.

Could be going in your primary. How many quarts did you put in after oil change? You said the light came on, Road King?

Nope primed the filter as always and checked before I fired it up,full to the cold mark on kickstand.Fired it up,walked away to let it warm up came back to the light on,3 minutes max, shut it down, checked it again, dry.None anywhere, has to be in the engine, but what happened?

I assume on your RK the oil fills directly into the crankcase and not a "tank". The oil cant be above the pistons, it can pump into the cam area and not allowing to drain back to crankcase, this is unlikey. It's not burning oil or it would smoke, it's not leaking or you would see it. The only place it could be going is in to the primary from thinking thru it or staying up in the camshaft area and not draining down.
