It seems theft of bags can be a problem. So I'm looking at different ways of securing them. One poster said all he did was pull the Dzuz pins and take the bags into the motel room with him. Sounds simple and I like simple. That's ok for hotels and motels but what about other scenarios.
So where other than motels are they stolen? Are motels the main location or only one of many??
Do a search....you will find several threads where guys were stopped for lunch and came out to find their saddlebags gone. There is a kit from www.brukus.com or a couple of the threads give you the info for picking up do it yourself hardware.

+1 for Brukus and they give members a discount. I have their bags kit and the screw for my Mustang seat.
5 minutes online and you can purchase a bag of 1.25-1.5" 5/16 security torx screws, and 5/16 u clip nuts. swap the washer from your current and 5 minutes install - done!
got enough for 4 bikes for same price as Brukus. Not that they don't make a good product... but it's just some security screws and 4 u clips.

With the HDForum discount, our SaddlebagSecure kit is $26.95 and we are currently offering free shipping through Memorial Day within the U.S.
Also, we have products to secure your seats, pillions, bibs, sissy bars and back rests, tour packs and detachable windshields on the Road Kings, Switchbacks and Softails.
I have the torx screws & U Clip Nuts, but I'm more worried about the bike being stolen then the bags. There is not a week that goes by anymore (around here) that you don't hear about someone's bike being heisted... Total BS!
I have never heard of them going missing this side of the pond however I got the Brukus bolts simply for added security - wouldn't want to see them drop off!
seems anyoe could make them brukus kits for cheap. nothing more than auto fender clips and anit tamper screws. both available at local parts stores or home centers. A great idea none the less.
