Anyone heading down to DC to the Wall today to celebrate Memorial Day? Ive gone down for years with a bunch of friends but we dont do the parade, its just is too dreadfully long (hours and hours sitting in a parking lot) waiting to idle down Constitution Avenue. We park and walk around checking out the venders and all the bikes.

 

I'm there right now. Waiting in the parking lot. First time for me.

 

My uncle used to go every year and it's on my riding bucket list. Unfortunately this isn't the year either.

 

I had it all set up to go, I had made and paid hotel reservation and was going to hook up with some riders in NC on Thursday. I was packing the bike when I got news that my wife’s Uncle had just passed in his sleep.
Maybe next year?

I will be there next year but will not participate in the parade. It's more fun for me to get a good seat and admire all the bike as they cruise by. It's a great event!
