Which is better, Vance & Hines Fuel Pak - Screamin Eage Super Tuner - Power Commander. It will be going on 2012 Flhtcu stock with Rinehart 4"please share your knowledge through your experience. Knowledge with out experience not needed. Thanks
not trying to be a smarts *** but... with is better for u only u can decide, with tuners it is always a trade off between cost and functions u think u need or may need in the future.lots of threads on tuners and how they work.
Of those options, No question, SE pro super tuner! The PCV many be the best add on tuner (FP is junk) but the SEPST, along with the tts and power vision, actually remaps the ECM. Add a proper dyno tune for the best of all worlds.

Why not use the power commander Vision. It flashes the ECM same as the HD Race Tuner and uses your stock O2 sensors. It was developed by the same guy that did the SEPST.
My recommendation would be the super tuner with a dyno tune. I have done this with 2 bikes now. 1rst bike had the dealer download and it was worthless. Current bike had the dealer download but I changed to PCV. The tune was just throwing lots of fuel in and heat management seemed to kick in real quick. Did the super tuner with a good dyno tune with great results. Improved MPG, runs cooler, zero decel popping and runs great. About a $300 difference between the PCV and Super Tuner w/ dyno tune.
Thanks to everyone for their input, I'm leaning towards installing V/H Dresser Duals and SEPST having the dealer install these items helps keep the warrenty in place, at least at that dealer.
make sure your dealer has a competant dyno operator, doesn't really matter with flash tuner u use its all about the #s the tech puts in it.i have seen dyno tunes farther off than any canned map.
If all you are doing are the slip-ons, then you don't need to do anything else right now.
If you are going to add an air cleaner, then yes you should probably richen it up a bit or you will be too lean.
I hear what you are saying about warranty and all, but what is the most important...a good tune that you own and you control....or putting it in the hands of a dealer employee that has no real accountability?
There's no question that the Power Vision is the best flash tuner going. I've had a race tuner before and they are simply user unfriendly. Second would be the PC V but it is not a flash tuner and must stay connected between your ECM and the rest of your ignition/fuel system. Thousands in use and they work fine. Again, it's what you value most....warranty or control.
You are probably going to spend about the same amount of money either way.
