Default Possible problems after new cam install

2012 103 street glide. I just installed a new TW-555 cams, adjustable pushrods, knight prowler lifters, all purchased from fuel moto. I took my time over a couple of days doing the job utilizing the manual, instructions, and videos on you tube from fuel moto. Made sure that the dots lined up on the timing chain and cams, replaced the bearings with the proper tools, and took the time and double checked each adjustable pushrod adjustment. I used the 4 turns and two flats setting.

I put everything back together and downloaded the map from fuel moto on my powervision and have been using the auto tune function with a reset on trim values.

First start up I had some noise coming from the intake breather kinda like a ticking/pinging noise. Took it for a ride around the block and it would idle fine and it definitely has a lot more power. As the auto tune was kicking in the noise seemed to go away. Rode it last night and it pulls hard all the way thru the gears an up to 4500 rpm. Havent taken it further then that.

Today I went out in the garage to see how the noise was at a cold start. started right up and idled iy down to 950-1000 rpm after a while with little intake noise that goes away when i revved it a little. But then I noticed the front header pipe glowing orange a little and the rear pipe wasnt at all. Makes me think something is off besides the autotune still making spark adjustments from the trim resets. When riding it seems normal with power and no back fires just worried I am overlooking something and dont really wanna tear it all apart to recheck everything. Should I give it some miles, could it be off a tooth somewhere, push rods off adjustment, map issues?

Does the PV use O2 sensors? If so, did you reinstall them? A glowing orange pipe is not a good thing.....

Do you have an Indy you trust? Take it to him, and he can diagnose. Glowing pipe not a good thing.

Not sure how long you idled your engine, but glowing pipes near the heads are not uncommon, prolonged idling builds heat very quickly. At average temps I would think 10-12 minutes is about the limit.

Its was ideling for a while listening to the motor. Been out with it a couple times no stalling or anything and is faster then stock. If it was off a tooth somewhere would it be really noticeable?

You WILL hear more intake noise from the filter after installing a cam. That's normal pretty much.

Just check the O2s. Black is the rear pipe.

Sometimes having a cam off a tooth will just make the bike ride poorly. Best to check CCP with a compression tester. If front and rear are fairly close? Good to go. Tooth off will be readily noticeable with a comp check.

Stock pipe may glow, but a tuned bike should not, so much.
