Every bike I've owned that came with it got removed as soon as possible. Couldn't get used to it, and like others have said I like to have room on the board.
Had a sore big toe and it was painfull to shift by lifting...rode that way anyway for a couple weeks and one day I remembered I had heel shifter ! Lowered it a bit and now use it and I like it. So I use it now...When I remember I have it!

I have size 14's, did not consider board room when I bought the first King but wasn't a problem, did not like the heel shifter at first now don't think about it and do not think I would like a single toe shift.
Heel and toe shifters have been reset to where I like them, do not have to raise heel so far it strains my tendons or causes issues, same for toe shift. My rice rockets had single shifters, was always looking to do something else with them as the upshifts were a bit odd feeling like I had my toe pointed to the ground and I had to reposition to get up then down shifts where that is not much the case with both. Had forward controls on my old hard tails, similar in thought to these just forward and off a peg.
