I use mine. I would like more space on the floorboard, particularly for longer rides, but I prefer the heel-toe shift pattern now. I guess I've just gotten used to it, so it feels natural.

Have one on my '67 FLB and got used to it and the '12 Ultra Classic will keep it on as long as I have it.

Taking the heel shifter off is the mod I make to a new bike. I prefer the floorboard room.

After six months and 6000 miles I'm thinking it's time to just remove it.

I've tried to get used to it. The problem is that I forget it's there until it gets in the way. One time I prematurely upshifted with it. The wife didn't like that.

My SG is the first bike I've had with a heel shifter and I love it. Wouldn't remove it - if I want more room, I hang a toe on the hiway pegs...
