OK, I have had V&H regular ovals, Reinhart True Duals, V&H Pro Pipe and a few more on different RK's I have had. Finally got a bat wing SG and decided I wanted something quieter so I could maximize my music enjoyment. (I must be getting old!) So, after searching numerous threads regarding a "radio friendly" exhaust system, a lot of riders talked about the V&H Monster Ovals. Well, I heard a set at the local haunt, liked them and decided to pull the trigger. Nice low rumble and not as loud as either my Reinharts or Pro Pipe. They (and my A/C, 222 cams and PV) showed up and I put just the Monster Ovals on for S&G's until I got the time to put the cam, etc. in. Nice looks and sound and radio friendly. So far so good. A couple of weeks later I decat my header, install the cams, A/C and PV and it runs and sounds great. (Thanks guys at Fuel Moto!) Well, this weekend I took it out for the first extended ride and OMG! After about 45 minutes the low frequency drone from the MO's were driving me crazy. Not loud, but the frequency was unbelievably annoying. After 4 hours, I had to get off. I guess decatting the pipes and installing the cams did something. So, who has any other suggestion on a quieter exhaust system. Does anybody have any experience with the Supertrapp Big Shotz which have the disc you can remove to quiet it down? How about the Freedom Performance American Outlaws which have a quiet baffle option? Any suggestion will be appreciated. And please don't tell me to go back to stock. I do want it to sound like a Harley! Thanks. And for anyone interested, I have a set of V&H MO's w/ about 350 miles on them for sale.(Chrome w/ black tips)

I went with a pre-cat (not sure of the year) CVO take-off. I found that once the Cat is removed you need more muffler to get the sound to a manageable level. There is a market for these types of exhaust but no one seems to be jumping on the bandwagon.
The biggest difference was probably the cams (not that it matters).
I know what you mean about the drone, after I did a cam swap on my last bike I couldn't wear a 3/4 helmet with the monsters (especially if I tried to wear ear plugs).
About the only company I know with several baffles is RUSH.
They have them every 1/4" from 1 1/2" to 2 1/2".
You would like the 1 3/4" or the 2" baffle.
I have r/c exhaust. Love them, nice deep rumble and I run my stereo about 55 to 60 percent. I do have stock cams and my cat is in. You can check them out at rccomponents.com.
