08 will be the 100th Anniversary of HD producing Cop bikes. Personally I am going to wait, and see if they have a 100th Anniversary POE. Of course, my luck will also be that I will buy an 08, and the Ultra will be produced with the V-Rod motor in 09[:@]
I am kind of in the same boat as you but i am waiting to see if the Road Glide is the next Screaming Eagle model or not...if not i guess i waited for the 08's for nothing.
I had the SERT/SEAC done before I took my 07Street Glide home. I had notrans or heat issues.I have a friend who just purchased a 07 Softail Deluxe. The only thing she had done was new V&H longshots, it runs really hot so I told her to get a fuel manager and a better air cleaner. You would think thesalesman would have convinced her to do this but who am I kidding. Other than that07's are good to go. Don't wait to jump in, the waters fine!!
Nope don't do it the 2007s have big problems such as....
[ol][*]Every time I push the start button the motor make noise and the gas guage goes down.[*]Every time I down shift all the way a GREEN SIX error pops up on the speedo and the needle pegs[*]Every time I turn the radio on loud Rock N Roll come out of the speakers[*]Every time I park it people ask does it have a Hemi in it [*]Every waking hour I keep thinking about places to ride it[/ol]Just say no!
