Well, may have to sell my 2011 RKC w/ 13,500 miles on it. I'm not in a rush, but probably by late summer. I know the market pretty well in MI but would like to ask the group what they believe I could sell this for in a private sale. Here are the extras I've added:

2011 Road King Classic
List of Upgrades

Engine
• Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner with K&N Filter
• Fuel Moto Stainless Steel Headers 2-1-2
• Fuel Moto Jackpot 4” mufflers
• Smith Bros. Pushrods
• Screaming Eagle 204 Cams with Torrington Bearings upgrade
• PowerVision Tuner by Dynojet with Autotune
• 103” PowerPac with ABS/Security/Cruise Control
• AIM-Tamachi variable pressure clutch
Functional
• BAL LED Tail Light
• Custom Dynamics LED Turn Signals
• Phase 7 LED Headlight
• Custom Dynamics LED load balancer
• Performance Machine Grips

• Bitchin Baggers 1” lowered Rear Shocks
• HD Classic Riders Backrest and Passenger Backrest
• Hard Saddlebag Upgrade with leather Mustang covers
• HD Classic saddlebag rails
• 4-pt. docking kit with billet caps
• LRS Recurve Windshield
• HD Classic Leather Windshield Bag
• HD Luggage Rack
• Fork-mounted Chrome Lowers and Wind Baffle
• Brukus Security System (Windshield, Saddle Bags, Seat)
• Ward’s Parts Werks Engine Cooling Fans
• Cigar Lighter/Power Point
• HD Headlight Bright/Spot Lights simultaneous operation module
• New Rear Tire
• Jerzee Custome Chrome Oil Pressure Gauge
Cosmetic
• 1961-62 Tank Badge (have the originals)
• Headlight/Spots/Turn Signal Chrome Visors
• HD Classic Theme Shifter/Pegs/Brake Pedal/Rider Board Inserts
• SoftBrake Chrome Extended Brake Lever
• HD Classic Chrome Passenger Foot Board Covers with Adjustable Positioning
• Chrome License Plate Bracket
• HD Classic Chrome Front Fender Tip (rear of fender)

Thanks for taking the time to provide input. My sig pic is accurate, except for the hard bags upgrade. Don't really want to discuss why I'm selling. Thanks.

Sorry you are having to sell the bike. Sounds like it's all fixed-up and ready to ride some now. Most of those are mods anyone would like. You shouldn't have any problem selling it at this time of the year. However, unfortunately, as we all know most if not all of the after market mods we do will retrieve very much resale value. Hoping you will find someone that appreciates what you have done to that bike. There will be some guys that will say that they don't like a bike with mods, they want an ugly ***, poor performing stock bike. Luckily that's not what you have!!

When someone comes to look at your 2011 RKC w/ 13,500 miles on it, I don't think your long list of add-ons is going to make much of a difference. It is still a 2011 Road King with 13,500 miles on it. You can ask whatever you think all those extras are worth, but it is not likely you will get anything extra for them. Book value is just that and very little, if any, more. You can ask anything you want, but at the end of the day, book value is book value, especially when you have a bank looking at it for a loan. When I was presented with a similar situation a few years ago, I stripped most of the add-ons from the bike and returned it to stock. Then I sold the add-ons on Ebay. I did not get a huge price for the parts but at least I didn't have to give them away like I would have when I sold or traded the bike.

Thanks, guys, appreciate the input. About what I expected. I'm thinking I could sell it for $17-17.5 if I'm patient. Understand the points about add-ons. Probably leave the exhaust and cams, but take a lot of the others. Additional opinions welcome.

I agree, take what parts you can off, sell the bike and the parts seperate.

In your case, and many others, you probably have thousand of $ worth of extras on the bike, however, I dont think you would ever come close to selling the bike for Blue Book plus what you have in after market stuff. I think most people with just go with buying a new bike once you got at or near 2013 RK price. Good luck, sux either way

If you have time market it like it is first ,maybe some one who understands what you have done will take it.It is funny how dealers will by low and sell high. They might have to sit on a bike till the right person comes by.

There are some people that expect to get $$$$$ for the extras

If I was you I'd put it on the market now and ask what you really want for it. Then if no takers by the end of season strip it and adjust price. Now is the time to get what you can though.
