Weird exhaust
Washed the Ultra Classic today, and just to try something I grabbed a broom handle to see what kind of a job it would be to "rearrange" the inside of the stock mufflers. To my surprise, the handle went the whole way into the muffler on the right side (looking tback to front), but only a couple of inches on the left side. I bought the bike used last August, it's a 2011 and I don't believe the bike was altered. There is no unsual loudness from the pipes, so I was wondering, IS THIS NORMAL?????

Ha, just like the test the Surete gave me on on 20, just after crossing from NB.
You may be able to identify the pipes- look for part numbers on top ( remove saddlebags).

Maybe they just threw on what they had laying there....lol! It can happen. Used to be in the late 60's and early 70's if they had a bigger motor or better transmission there they would just throw it in whatever car was coming down the line. Once in a while the new owner got lots more horses than they paid for and a collectible car to boot.

had 1 of them h.d. brought 79 fx used from 1 owner.came with belt in primary.belt in rear.and one of the kind disk rotor.rotor look like they made a grove in the middle of it and ad a spring around it.never saw this rotor before or after.mrfuji
