I just put my stock mufflers back on my 09 Ultra and it seems like the left pipe has more exhaust output than the right. The left muffler has what looks like a "plug" in it while the right muffler looks wide open.
I thought the right one should have more output. Could I have the mufflers reversed?
My stock pipes have an indent on the inside for bottom shock mount clearance. Not sure about the new style frame bikes, but it is a dead give away which goes on which side.
My 2011 Ultra Classic has the same exhaust, emtpy on the right side and a plug on the left. Tech at the dealer said it may have something to do with the catalytic converters, which doesn't make any sense to me.

Would be very obvious if you have the mufflers reversed.
On the inside of each muffler is an "indent" to clear the lower shock mounting bolt.
If you reverse the mufflers, they would look funny with that indent on the outside.

Yeah, the indents are to the inside so they're on there right. I just don't understand why there's more exhaust from the left side-I thought it was the other way around.

Thanks
It is the other way around, maybe you have a critter stuck in the right one.
I still have the stock mufflers on my 2013 with the stock cats. I "had" the plug on both mufflers. I know this because I just took my trusty hole saw and 12 inch extension and drilled them both out. Maybe one of your plugs got drilled out as well.
