Default Second hand tourpak blues

Hello,

I have a '97 FLHRI Roadking and I bought a second hand king tourpak at an autojumble. It has the Brake/turn light wraparound, and its safe to say I love it.

BUT it didn't have a rack with it, and I want it for the pillion passenger to lean on. I have a 4 point quick release system on the bike, so I want to utilise that, so I bought an item labelled HARLEY HD QUICK DETACHABLE TWO-UP TOUR-PAK RACK ROAD KING GLIDE TOURING MODELS.

Trouble is, it doesn't fit unless I remove the pillion pad.

I have asked the seller about this and they asked if I have a solo seat (which their listing didn't mention)

So I think the terminology is getting confusing for me here. I thought 2-up meant pillion, and solo seat meant rider only......can anyone enlighten me, as I don't want to be throwing good money after bad.

I have attached pics, so you can see what I am working with.

Thanks guys

I believe the 2 up rack is correct but you are missing the rearward docking points on the bike. The docking points you're showing are for the passenger backrest and not the tour pak.. You should have a triangular shaped bracket with a docking point mounted off the vertical brace that the saddle bag mounts to.

I remember when I stopped into the dealership to order that mount, I had a cow when they told me the cost. Should come with a free tube of KY......

Ordered it anyway, had no choice...

Hell yeah, I damn near fainted after all I have spent so far to get the rack and the pak. Think I'm gonna have to shell out more to get all the wiring synced up too. I'll be standing on street corners before she's on the road again....

Same thing, except they are not tubular mounts, they are flat stock.
