How long ago did you have problems with these lights?

I heard the original version of this light had the problems you mentioned, part # 73396-10. But problems were corrected with the updated part # 73396-10A.

Can you confirm they were the 73396-10A?

I bought them in 2012. The box they came in says 73396-10A. I first noticed the problem this spring. The fogging only occurs after the lights are on for a while and heat up. The condensation forms a wide frosty looking oval shape on the upper half of the lens. Turn the lights off and after a few hours the fogging goes away completely. It returns again when the lights are turned on for a while during your ride. I am almost absolutely certain they did not this when new. So I believe it's a problem that grows over time due to moisture somehow developing inside the sealed lamp. Both lights show the same exact fogging pattern.

So far I've had mine 6 month without any issues. Been caught in pouring rain for hours a few time too and never had them fog up. I'll keep an eye on them. You could always buy a new set and take the old ones back.....now I would never do such a nefarious thing like that.......LOL I actually had them folded into my extended warranty along with the headlight.

Hopefully you won't have the problem I and others have encountered. I posted so that those considering spending $380 buying HD's LED Aux lights are aware of what I have experienced. Will it happen to others? Maybe, maybe not. Just don't expect any help from HD if it does. I regret buying them.

I went all LED's on mine at the same time. easternperformance.com (vender sponser) is where I would recommend getting them from.

I'm putting the HD LED headlight on my Street Glide, but am concerned about not being able to see in corners.

I don't have passing lamps, but am considering HD crash bar mounted fog lights or fork mounted Motolights.

I would prefer to use LED for any additional lighting, but it seems that the HD crash bar fog lights are halogen only. Does anyone know if they're offered in LED?

Thanks

I could be wrong - and please correct me if I am - but I believe that all of suggestions so far have been for the lamps (bulbs) only and do not include the housing and mounting hardware. Important thing to know for anyone currently without aux lamps looking to add them.

Harley customer service replaced mine after 18 months after I talked to them. Real nice experience dealing with them.
