My 06 is a Carb. last year before total FI. I went with the Carb because I understand them and know how to work with them. I rejetted and now it runs so sweet. I rejet takes a few minutes and cost very little. I'm sure FI is wonderful, I am just comfortable with the Carb.
I recently purchased a 2002 Electra Glide Classic with 4 thousand miles. It is in mint condition. I have been wondering about it being carbuerated. I paid 12K for the bike. I love it, but haven't been able to ride because of the usual upstate NY winter. Obviously I am bored to death, and keep thinking I should have gotten the FI version. Any comments would be appreciated. I have been riding a 97 1200 custom for the last couple of years and I got it bad for Harley's. Thanks Gordy
You just got one of the best bikes HD has made. Keep it forever and enjoy the ride!
I've only had five carb Harleysbut Inever had a problem with any of them. Wish this @#$%%$#ing '06 Ultra had a carb!!!!! I could get it running right without paying out the nose for dyno tuning, etc. etc.
Don't have a second thought about your carb. It will serve you well.
Thanks is the price in line with the market, I bought it from a dealer in PA.
Thats a damn good deal, I live in PA and bought mine here too. Its an 04 Electra Glide Classic fuel injected. It had 21000 miles on it when I got her and I paid $13,900 for it back in November.
This may sound like fiction, I was surfing Harley's on ebay, within 200 miles of me, and I found a Dealer in Scranton with a buy it now for $11,999, I thought it over for a day or two hoping it would be gone, but it was up around 10 grand on the bidding. I called and talked to the salesman that sold it new and the owner was a friend of his. He gave me the low down, so I did the buy it now thing, I thought worst case, if I didn't like it or was misrepresented, I would back out. I drove down with the wife, took one look at it, perfect, got on it started it, ran perfect went in and did the paper work, they loaded it in my truck and tied it down. Drove home backed in a ditch, rolled off and drove it in the garage. I had the bike of my dreams, and I didn't have to pay too much. Only thing its a two tone luxury blue and silver, I wanted black, but I can live with it.

I would say yes on the price I have found that most evey one starts adding crome right out the door and up grades soon after . Post a pic like to see it.
