Connect iPod to stereo aux input via cable. Set the stereo to Aux; and then turn on the IPod and start your music. Be sure to turn up the volume on both iPod and stereo.

If this is true, then this is all O all need. Thanks!

I personally tried 3 different 3.5 mm cables and none worked. I had to jiggle all of them to get them to play and it got old. I since researched and found this.

http://blog.ironacesspeedshop.com/ho...vidson-stereo/

I used the Isimple is75 cable from Amazon for $14 in like new condition and it charges my iPod while I play it. No more hassle to with 3.5 mm cable. Sure I can't change playlist thru head unit but I can still control volume thru handle bar controls. Its all I needed. I mounted it on bars close to fairing and I can forward songs fairly easily. Its a no brainer to not have to deal with seperate volume on iPod and HU. And its cheap.

Special Ed, start off with mp3 formated music from your computer. Put what you want to burn in the libary of windows media (left click,hold,drag-n-drop). Highlight what you are going to burn to cd (point mouse on first song, left click, hold shift down/ arrow down at the same time, this will highlight a bunch at once, right click, select copy, left click mouse in destination folder, right click again, select paste this will copy all of the songs you just highlighted to that folder/cd. Media player will ask you how you want to burn it, select DATA. It will let you know when the cd is full. Insert in your HK, sit back and enjoy 130+ songs on 1 cd. Hours and hours of music that you can utilize your handlebar controls with. If I am wrong on any of these steps someone will correct my dumbazz, lol. Good luck

I have installed the iPod interface from http://ironcrossaudio.com/ipod-harleydavidsonradio.html

$250 is not bad for being able to control the iPod completely through the hand controls.

I added a small Bluetooth device ($20 online) that synchs with your I Phone (not I Pod) and let's you play music without any cords. Sweet! SJ Ron

I use a griffin Ipod case for my 120 GB Ipod(currently 5900 songs) and have velcro attached to it and run the other part of the velcro on top of the brake fluid resivoir and run an Ipod dock/cable 3.5 plug to the H/K outlet. Been using it this way since the bike was new, almost 4 years ago, no issues.

Screw CD's.. no thanx.

Bought the 3.5mm cable at Radio Shack, $13, put the IPOD in one of the windshield pouches, ran the wire to the aux plug, music! Works great!
