Squeaking or Chirping noise until clutch is pulled in?
2012 Street Glide (4,500 miles) with Squeak or Chirp like noise???
Im hearing a squeaking or chirping noise (similar to a dry bearing) and cannot pin point where its coming from. The noise seems to be less prominent and seems to go away only when pulling the clutch lever in. I had heard it once last week before a 500mi trip in the morning upon first start up but went away shortly after. Never gave any thought to it once it stopped making the noise thinking it was a flukey brake rotor or pad squeak because I had just washed the bike the night before. Now, everytime I start the bike it is doing it and only seems to get better when pulling the clutch lever in.
Has anyone had this issue? Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated!

I'd be willing to bet it is the front motor mount.
Sure it's not that the clutch itself is out of adjustment? I know it's a wet clutch, but could that be the source of the squeak? But if you pull in the clutch and the squeak goes away...

+1 on the top front motor mount.
To fix, remove it and submerge in oil and work it in, wipe off excess and install.
I had it on my 2012 Street Glide. Drove me up a wall... And it developed right at 700 miles or so and shortly after I used the Cruise control for the first time last May/June. I only happened in low gears riding slow... about 15 MPH. Sounded to me like it was coming from the rear of the bike. Boy was I paranoid. I checked everything I could on my own. Had it in to the dealer for the 1K, they didn't notice anything. I can tell you this much, no one ever diagnosed it and no one ever specifically fixed it, but it went away. I am at 7600 miles now and it hasn't chirped/squealed for the last 6500 miles or so.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone....
Ill make sure to R&R top motor mount & clean & lube it. Lube all exhaust hangers & grommet's and also check clutch adjustment as well since I did do a recent build and installed a SE clutch spring.
Ive also been told the squeak could be as simple as a dry bottom saddlebag support rubber mount. Once this rain stops and I finish installing my new Polyurethane riser bushings for my apes...Ill try all of the above suggestions and post the remedy if the squeak disappears! Feel free to chime in if anyone has had this issue with a different solution. Like I said...I will do a process of elimination once im finished with the Poly riser bushings. Im waiting for parts to arrive. Thanks again guys!
I'm interested in this myself. My 2000 RK has been doing this for awhile. Seems to me it started, and is worse when the bike gets wet. then it started doing it for the first little bit any time I took off on it and would stop after a little bit, now I can hear it at least faintly any time i'm going fairly slowly. It's freakin maddening. It does appear to be coming from the rear, I thought possibly my belt was rubbing, but that doesn't appear to be the case, I've been concerned it may be my rear wheel bearing as well, but it does stop if I pull the clutch in, so that wouldn't make much sense if it was a bearing. Had been starting to wonder if it isn't my clutch.
