Always know how to use the pin. Never worry about being stranded with a dead fob, or taking all your fobs and losing them.

It's pretty easy to carry an extra fob battery in the windshield pouch or wherever.

Thanks for the replies. I'll do a quick search and see what I can find. I just assumed it would've already been programmed but you know what they say about assuming!!

They should both work and it is indeed safe to assume they were both programmed when the bike was new. If one has been left with a dead battery for a long time it may have 'died', or been replaced and never programmed. If the bike has had several owners who is to know what has happened along the way!

My wife and I both carry keys and fob when we are on long trips, as back-up.

This was my thinking too. I know I'm at least the 3rd owner of this bike so who knows. I'll try to reprogram them and see if I can narrow it down. Thanks again.
