I feel your pain! I followed my buddy today to drop off my new to me 09 SG for Md. Inspection. I knew he had put the Monster Ovals on when he bought it and thought this would be great. Not the case. They are not loud at all, so I am searching for something louder. It doesn’t need to be obnoxious, but I want people to know I’m next to them or coming down the street, so maybe a little obnoxious is cool. The bike has a stage 1 and SERT. The bike has 1500 miles on it, but I don’t think they will get any louder. My 08 SG had Tab Performance slip-ons and they sounded great, but I haven’t found them local. I’m leaning towards Rineharts, but not sure which ones or another V&H.
Quit screwing around trying different mufflers. Just get it over with and install a Thunderheader 2 into 1. Sound, performance, and looks badazz on a SG.

I put a pair of Cobra Tri Flo's on my 13 Ultra Limited this week and wow do they sound wicked. Very very deep loud rumble through the gears but at cruise I can hear the radio fine with just a sweet background of Harley rumble.
I have Monster rounds with dresser duals and 222 cams and like the sound alot. I replaced my V&H ovals after the cam swap beacause it was just too loud. the sound is really deep and is quieter than the ovals but definitely not too quiet. I would say drop the stock headpipe for dresser duals and it will wake up those mufflers.
