These V&H Classic 4" turndowns, are loud enough for me,I'd bet theyre the loudest V&H makes. The maintainence free 2.25" perforated baffle is pretty much flow through, even added the quiet inserts, which are just a 3" long tapered tip that fits inside the endcaps, doesnt quiet much but adds a bit of backpressure, Idle sounds like a harley should, cruise purrs, open it up they roar. The look may not be for everyone but I like em. they arent turned all the way down more of an extreme slash scalloped and curved down. But they can clear the sand and gravel away if I need to roll back out of a space so my feet dont slip.

I had a the Klock werks super savers on my flhtk and changed out to the V&H Monster rounds and the was shocked on how quiet they were. Ihad the Monster rounds on my road king and they were great so I switched the pair from one bike to another, now my road king you can hear coming from a mile away and the limited sounds like a ***** cat. I dont so much mind, I would like it a little louder but it does not bother me. THe limited is for the long hauls over 300 miles and the Road king is for around town and close destinations so I get eh best of both worlds. Funny thing is I have heard them on different bikes and they sound different.

What a nightmare, trying to figure out what pipes when and where to go deaf or not go deaf and bother the rest of the hood plus or minus a mile or not.

They do more than rattle windows, believe me.
