There's always someone out there that gets their panties in a wad because their order didn't arrive immediately and they were headed out on some big road trip.
I don't believe anything has changed in particular at LSHD. Bottom line is you need to allow time for your order to ship. Sometimes they do not have the item you order from them in stock at LSHD and LSHD has to order from H-D. It can sometimes take time. If you need it yesterday go to your local dealer (but call ahead because they might not have the item either).
I've had good results dealing with LSHD the last two years and about $1.5k. You can't beat 20% off, none of the locals will price match. I don't think they're any slower them my local dealer's. It took two weeks to get some deutsch connectors from the local. Bottom line, there's no dealer's with every part in stock.
Can you post some pics of the rack on your bike. I have been looking at getting one for mine. They have a lot better weight rating than others I have looked at. I am not interested in a tour pac and this looks like it will work for my needs. I hear they look huge on the bike.
Sure, but I won't get time today. I'll try to get to it tomorrow. I don't think it looks too big collapsed but when you extend the rails it can look a bit large. But the main thing is function and it look like it will do the job.

I appreciate it greatly. I am looking for function. I still have not got the OL down to packing as light as I would like her to. It looks really nice in the pics online at HD.
