I was at Americade and hear slip-ons that were being put on same bike as mine... American Custom Bombers.... They sounded real nice.... My question is... are they good, well made?? company on the up and up?? as in Customer service??
Nah, if they were bad, someone would say so. I think, like myself, no one has heard of them. That being the case, you get to be the guinea pig. Let us know what you think...
Myself and two of my buds had them installed this year at Daytona. Great people to deal with, Bruce the owner was there to deal with. They are stock HD mufflers that have been recored. The middle baffle has been removed and the wall baffle remains. And yes, they do sound good. In order to make really sound good is to remove your cat from your head pipe. If your mufflers are in excellent shape, they will give you 50 bux exchange.
American Custom takes stock Harley mufflers and guts them, and offers a few different baffles to choose from. I've had the Bombers with the mid rumble baffles on my FLHR (gutted headpipe) for 12k miles and love them. A tad louder than stock, I'm sure the open headpipe has something to do with that. I have done numerous 600 mile days and no ringing ears or headaches. Very pleased with mine....

Good company & cheap prices...you can't go wrong. Sold my stock 09 pipes to them for $75 @ stockpipessuck.com so those could've been my old pipes...never know.
