I may be wrong here, but it seams like most of the problems I have been reading lately are mostly issues with the 2012 Models. I don't see much on the 11's or 13's. Was there a change in 2012? If I was in the market today, I think I would either go brand new or with a 10 or 11 with low miles.
My Dream bike is a 2012 CVO Road Glide in the white and black combo, and would like to get one a some day. Is Harley doing anything about all of the issues? Are the 2012 CVO's having the same issues?
I'm not aware of any major changes the MOCO did in 12.
I'm always real careful what I pick up on the forum. People always run to the board and complain when they're not happy but you don't always see them saying when things run like they expect. I suspect the 12's you're hearing people complain about are because the bikes are at that point if something will go wrong it does. And again, you're only hearing the bad reports.

A few things come to mind, wheel bearings, motor mounts, bad top end noise, leaking oil, bad compensators, bad tires (cracking)and pinging. just to name a few
Just replaced the regulator that was under recall but wasnt giving me a problem. Bike has been good so far but my radio reception aint the best so might bring her in to have a look. But it might be my leds causing the reception issues.
The only problem I have heard about is the regulator recall. I know I have an 11, the only problem I have had out of mine is the brake switch recall and TCA pin threatting, got new pins soldered and a twist grip sensor out of that deal. The other thing I worry about is the damn tires cracking, that is the first thing I am gonna check when I wake Big Red up from her slumber after I get back. There is no changes that I am aware of other than the 103 being standard now between 11-13. The 103 being standard now still pisses me off, lmao..
I have a 2012 Ultra Limited I bought last September. 14,000+ miles with absolutely no issues so far. The bike runs like a top. I even have a little tread remaining on the stock Dunlops. My milage consists of about 20% 2-up riding.
