Howard will give you all the information you need. He usually recommends the B type for typical street performance. Your riding style may not be the average, however.

c is seperated , advantage = on a long hard day of riding they will not fade as quick as the B's , disadvantage = shorter stroke than the B's

Buff, if you are buying from Howard, by all means read all the words on his website, but then give him a call, as jberg suggests. I thought I knew which shocks to buy, but was happy to change my mind with the information he gave me. I have had his Ohlins for several years and am still delighted with my 'new' bike.

Best bet is to describe to Howard what type of riding you will be doing, along with answer all the questions on the set-up sheet and go with what Howard recommends.

I have a set of teh B on order for my bagger. I am curious to feel the difference between these and the air ride that is on it now. If I like the air ride better (the bike looks killer slammed and rides great as it is) I will sell these. We'll see what feels better although logic dictates that a high performance racing type of shock absorber will give a much better ride.

I suspect you will find that the JRIs have superior damping, which is what really improves the ride quality, especially if you ride 2-up a lot. Of course if you are buying that expensive Canadian shock system (can't recall its brand name) we'll all sit up and pay attention!
