Taking a road trip with another couple. My friend has a batwing Ultra. Is it possible for the ladies to use the CB function to gab? Do we need anything other than the headsets?
Somebody out there must have tried this before....
Yes they can....they have PTT switches on the side of their seats. The problem is that you will have to listen to it as well, although you might be able (and I don't use the CB enough to remember) to set the console speaker/headphone selection switch so that the music comes through the speakers and the CB chatter is on the headsets. I don't know off the top of my head if that combination is there...I simply don't use the CB enough to remember. I want to say that when the CB is on and actively being used it mutes the music...again...don't remember other than the few times where I was using it and then I had both music and CB routed through the headset...and it does cut off music when the CB is being used.
Either than or get them a pair of bluetooth headsets so they can yack away at each other...another option.

If they are BIG chatters....you can unplug your headset....and when she needs you to know something, shout it in your ear.
For me, a CB is for info I may need to know....not for "Wow, wonderful ride isn't it? Where did you buy your shoes? Did you hear, Ralph left Jeanie."
Me on CB...."Roadkill. Right lane." or "Fuel stop, five miles."
