My ultra does not have the security key fobs, I want to know if it still has the hardware intact but don't know where to look.
If its still on it, I'll get some fobs from the dealer. The manual doesn't show the location(maybe I'm looking in the wrong place), anyone know where it is?
Came this way from original owner who likely pitched the fobs after having the dealer change the security codes so it wasn't needed.

When you turn your ignition on, do you see a red security key ?
I used to have the TSSM (Turn Signal and Security Module) which went bad, so I replaced it with a TSM (Turn Signal Module, No Security). They re-flash the chip at the dealership and no more red security key.
Still have the fob on the key ring, but is doesn't do anything anymore. Getting a FOB if you only have a TSM wont do anything, you have to get the TSSM if you want to go with a fob, and it is PITA. Just forget about a fob if you dont already have one.
I don't think you can disable the Smart Security through the programming.
If this is a Smart Security system that is! If it not, sorry, please ignore.
If the previous owner had Security and got rid of it, he probably swapped out the TSSM for a standard TSM.
The Smart Security is the Turn Signal Module. If you have the Smart Security, it's called a Turn Signal Security Module or TSSM, if you don't, it's called a TSM.
Yes, it's under the right side cover.
Congrats on the new bike! The first accessory to buy is a shop manual, even if you don't plan to do your own work on the bike. FACTORY manual, not some cheapy clymers or such...
