Default Touring luggage and mounting

Looking for decent but not too expensive luggage options for luggage rack on my 05 RK. I have been looking at a few from Leatherup for around $100 but wanted to get the opinion of the HD Brethren.

Also, when I bought a used sissy bar assembly off craigslist, I didn't realize it was the medium rise back rest. Will I need the tall?

When I had my Softail I got a Lone Star T Bag.
It came with the extra roll bag that strapped on to the top and was pretty functional.
I still use the roll bag on the luggage rack of the Ultra.

What ever kind you get, make sure it's multi functional.

I got a T-bag and it is very functional. It came with a pocket that allows you to slide the tee bag pocket over the drivers backrest and the tee bag sits on the passenger seat. I also installed the 3 point docking system with a stealth luggage rack. That gave me a whole other section for another bag. Turns out I didn't even need that luggage rack cause the tee bag and saddle bags handled everything for a 5 day trip.

Lol....ok.
Go with the docking kit, the stealth rack and a tee bag.

To clarify what I currently have: I have what I think is the medium back rest with attached luggage rack mounted to quick detach docking kit. I am not opposed to going to the large back rest but prefer to keep what I have to avoid spending more $.

Also I am considering a C&C sport tour seat in near future so the back rest would need to work with that as well.

In the long run it may be time to trade it in on an Ultra Classic/Limited...

I used this for more than 40k miles and it's a great deal too at less than 100 bucks for the set.
