My husband and I have a 2011 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. I love this bike, except for one thing... my foot is on fire while riding. Just recently we have started to take long day rides in the summer months. Before we go very far though, the heat starts to blow off the right side of the bike and all over my foot. My husband, while driving, does not have this issue... it's just me. I have been told that this is an unfortunate downer of being a passenger on this year and model of motorcycle. We want to start traveling, but I can't take being that miserable the whole time we ride. Does anyone know of a heat deflector or other solution that would solve this problem?

Sounds like the catalytic converter hot foot. Get rid of the cat. Heat will be gone. Many options out there. I used FuelMoto(forum sponsor) 2-1-2 head pipe. Other folks gut their existing pipe... Many threads on this.
Replace headpipe with one that does not have a catalytic converter in it.
Install a tuner for the fuel injection and get it tuned ( Fuelmoto is a sponsor on this site and can get you a good , proven system).
Install a set of RJS Original's Heat Shields - they run lower and cover more than captain itch kuryaken or the stock HD ones on the side of the bike where your foot is.
Get a good set of boots that are at least 9" tall.

Time to break out some pesos.. call FuelMotoUSA and do the whole PowerVision/Pipes/Air Cleaner upgrade. You and the old man will be glad you did.
