Rode out to my aunts house today for a cookout come off the road goes to gravel across a concrete bridge then up another gravel hill. Start coming down and bike starts sliding I partially panic tryin to avoid losing I and put my feet down keep sliding at it falls over on the side. Scratched the bottom of my bag side of my exhaust and lil bit on engine guard that saved it all. I wanna replace the bags now and prefer to go with some painted so I don't gotta mess with finding paint. Where do you all get your extended bags at? Need some help are the hd extended bags good type I found some at a Harley dealer and looked at them prior to today. All things coulda been worse just pissed at myself I lost it in that rut.
I used these guys with my 2009 "Top Shop": http://www.extendedbags.com/ "Top Shop".
It did cost me $425 to have a local painter paint them to match my Big Blue Pearl.
Nothing wrong with the Harley bags and you can order them already painted to match your bike.

We offer a couple different options. One of our more popular is the "Fairing Factory" 4" bags, that's probably what your friends bought, here's some pics.
SALE PRICE: $489.00
Also offering a sale price on Sinister, and 5". Here is some links to help you make a decision.
You could always try the bag extenders.
Some think they're cheesy.
I think that they are a cheap alternative and really don't look too bad, and are certainly worth looking into. http://www.directcycleparts.com/lugg...ts-p-3661.html
There's an outfit on ebay that will sell them to you painted for like $300 if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks for the help guys so many options its hard to choose. Do extended bags clear enough that I won't have to worry goin over bumps and stuff that they may drag?
