I just picked my new 2013 Limited. My last bike was a 07 RK. I sold it in 08. Just trying to figure out all the new toys. Any advise that could be passed along would be great. I used to love the sound of hooker header slip ons, are they still around? I cant find them. I plan to ride her stock this year and maybe do some work over the winter.
Best advice I can offer is to ride it as you said and talk to other local bikers about what they did to their bikes. The customization of bikes, if any, is very subjective.
Hi Tim.
Congrats from Michigan.
I don't know about the hooker slips, I have a 11 King with Bassnni Megaphones and I get complements on sound all the time. I hope you love your new Harley as much as I do mine.
Congrats on the new scoot and welcome to the forum!
This forum is plumb full of good information for you, from general usage and model/year specific quirks to DIY customization and professional over-the-top makeovers. I think you have the right idea by riding it stock and doing your research before jumping into changing things up.
One thing I believe helps with general rider comfort and experience satisfaction is a basic Stage 1 that includes removing the catalytic converter. Lots of threads here on the subject for all flavors and bank accounts.
Ride now, research when it rains... and keep the rubber side down!

Welcome aboard! You've got right right idea. ride now, then research, then do mods over the winter.
Tons of great info on this forum. If the "search" feature doesn't work well for you, a great thing is a Google search which will find the info in the forum archives faster and easier.
CAUTION! Spending is proportional to your research! Have Fun!!!!!
Exactly what Bass said. Ride it for a bit before you do anything to it, you never know, you might like it just the way it is. Welcome to the forum and TEAM BATWING! Enjoy that beast. Post some pics so we can see it. Stay safe.
