yup very true.
I am just reading all the great reviews on these boots.
I went with the red wing work boots. not "motorcycle boots" made in the USA cost around $250, look similar, but no side ziper, have upper ilets (not sure of the spelling), gortex.
Been riding for over 20 years, these are the most comfortable boots I have owned. waterproof, all day comfort walking around and made in the USA.
Made for guys that work all day, not designed as a fashion statment.
I love my Chippewa boots. I am diabetic and have trouble finding footwear that is comfortable and easy to get into. They are american madebut the waterproof are all lace-ups. I wear #27862. http://www.chippewaboots.com/boots/gender.asp?sGender=4
Check out nicksboots.com they are built to fit your feet and they have all styles. Also check out white http://www.whitesboots.com/whites makes the best but they are pricey.
