got a used set from a guy who had them on an 11 electraglide..start putting them on my 08 street glide and the mount under the bag is different than the screamin eagle slip on..the current set up I have has the flat metal piece with 2 drilled holes about 3 inchs apart that bolt right up to the se slip ons. its located at the rear of the bag support when I mocked up the oval the mounts on the pipe were not only closer together but more towards the middle of the bag support..any ideas guys
I too just bought a set of MO's and noticed the same thing. The rubber mount slipped out of the saddle bag support. Took just a few minutes to put it back in place, but something else to keep an eye on and worry about
I just changed out a set of ovals. The holes lines up I had t o use 5/16 x 3/4 in bolts with them. If the holes are too forward, maybe you have them pushed on too far. You only need about 2 inches of the muffler pushed onto the head pipe. You can slide the bar and rubber hanger to where it fits best. Just make sure they are even, when you look at them from the side.,,

Reverse the rubber mount so that the thicker side faces the back of the bike. I put a brand new set on my 2102 SG and had the same issues with the rubber mounts vibrating out towards the front of the bike so I reversed the mounts and everything has been fine for over 3k miles now.
I had a set of monster ovals on my last bike...they come with a set of brackets that slide through the rubber mounts in place of the O.E. brackets that came with the bike.
The MO mount as angled on one end, so that it cannot slide beyond that.

I LOVE them! The sound is very deep, but not obnoxious. They also really fill in the area under the bags. I used to have SuperTrapp SE's (pretty much the same thing as the Screamin' Eagle SE slip-ons, and I like these better. Here are some comparison photos:
