I see some Duo-Glide paint jobs on your Roadkings. I thought you might want to see my Dyna Street Bob turned into a 1960 Duo-Glide. It even has dual exhaust. The rear fender and (most of) the rear wheel are 2010 Roadking.
It's the cheap rail off ebay.
Had to cut it up.
Notched out the rear tabs to slide onto the Mustang seat bolts.
Cut the front underseat tabs and used velcro and zip ties instead. Just snip 'em and pop on the rear seat.
great ideas come here...I have the same one and its been sitting in my closet for a month...trying to sell it but will give another shot now
Working away all winter on my custom seat pan for my Ultra. Talk about a challenge however hopefully next week it can go out for chrome.
Still have the chrome rail to make, which may come shortly thereafter. The stock chrome rails will not work with hard saddle bags( bought one bottomed out when the springs compressed, and the pan required a lift at the back or I had to remove everything every-time ( wire harness, back-rest support etc.
If you will notice it will be a one piece unit, inclusive of 1925 corbin seat ( not shown, but even the anchor points for the springs are now adjustable.
I talked about this before in the forum and we are nearing the end now. One anchor location at the end of the tail, the other end locks in using the front seat design with a slide in lip matching the existing seat pattern.
Should be sweet, will post more pictures once the entire unit is complete. One of a kind for sure! An old school ultra - Sweet
getting closer - a few more adjustments but very close now - was going to chrome but the more I look at it - I think vivid black paint with some airbrush detail on the tail might just set it off - thoughts?
