I totally stole this from a guy on a 2003 Heritage, so I can't take credit for it. I was hanging out with a bunch of 30's - 50's Harleys and Indians the last few days. It seems that "back in the day", the windshields were laminated. Therefore, there was a chrome or translucent band around the windshield. So..... for about $10-12 at Autozone, one can pick up a roll of that stuff they use to put a chrome strip on car doors. One roll is WAY more than enough to do a RK windshield.
