Anyone checking out Wild 1 bars, don't be scared to look at HD's Fat Bar.

The wrist angle is very comfortable but I think a little more pullback and/or rise would be nice. If anyone else has more info on these two handlebars I would greatly appreciate it. I guess I am still looking for that "perfect" handlebar.
I am 5' 10", the wife is 5' 8". If I had it to do over again (which of course we could) I would prefer the 518's. They are not very much wider and have the more traditional wrist angle. A little less pullback but IMO more then enough for our reach.

I have become very comfortable with the 508's, some complain of the "wheelbarrow" effect but it never bothered me and I find in cruising my hands lay on the grips at a slight angle........no big deal and comfy for me. I still like the "look" of the 508 a bit more but these bars are not very different once on.

I am looking at solo seats for me and will tell you with the 508's, even with my short frame, I will want a seat that sits back a bit, not forward.

I have the HD bars on mine. They are okay, but after riding a lot with the Wild1 Beach Bars on my Heritage Springer, I really want to change them out!

Busmbl,

I wasn't sure if anyone would get my little joke. My jokes are pretty bad.

The 518's and the HD Fat Bar are very similar.

Thanks (to all that contributed) for the info on the handlebars. I just might have to try the 518s next spring. Changing handlebars every year is getting a little expensive and annoying.

Here's my 99 FLHRC.It's complete with 3.5 stretched bags from Top Shop and a Bad Dad stretched fender. The bars are WO 518 and sit me further back in the Mustang Seat when I have the back rest in.Very comfortable on those 500+ mi. days especially with the hi way pegs.
The back rest for my wife is stock harley and fits over the wide fender with Bad Dads hardware. Other features include chrome lower legs, oil cooler, Billet 24 LED license frame ( lower picture) & custom grips .The bike has also been lowered about an inch.
