Btw, I like that horn is that an HD cover or a replacement?
I can't remember with 100% certainty but I believe I found the round horn cover at J & P Cycles (less than $20). The 'V' came from HD and it glued right on to the horn cover.

I love my Road King Classic! The old school look like 16" wheels, big chrome headlight, etc., etc. Couldn't really imagine having anything else. This thread is great inspiration and it's nice to know so many others love this model. I've put on some Carlini Bag Drag bars, Fuel Moto 2-1-2 ceramic header, Rinehart 4" slipons, Power Vision, HD Low Profile seat, and a few other changes.
The bike has a way to go before it is "complete," but I love it anyway. I may be the youngest (36) RKC owner on this page but have always been captivated by nostalgic looking motorcycles. My first experience riding a motorcycle was on a 1979 FLH in 1996. I rode approximately 11,500 miles during the first summer with my new 2011 RKC. My wife and I drove to Indiana to purchase (May 2011) the last 'cool blue pearl' RKC in the midwest. I love the paint on this motorcycle and have seen less than three others, on the road. Fringe and chrome studs are my friend as you can see . . . I spent many hours placing them. I plan on installing a chrome front end, light visors, new fringed studded Le Pera seats, LEDs from cycle Dynamics all of which will be under clear lenses, and maybe the controversial clear 1959 Cadillac tail lights.
Also, I wanted to say after spending a great deal of time perusing through these many pages how much I appreciate the mutual respect amongst the various members, which is not the case on some other motorcycle websites.
I've seen one other bike like yours (in Denver) and I thought at the time that it was an awesome color!! My 2002 was Blue/Silver when I bought it and my memory of that first yellow bike served as the inspiration to get rid of the Silver and add Birch White to tank and fenders.

Whiskers, you have a great looking bike! Where did you get the accessory light on your front fender? I've looked around but haven't found one yet. Also, is it functional or just decorative?

Hey, F*** YOU, Man!!! What do you mean by that!?!?
BTW... you're bike is coming along nicely! The V-rail fender trim will really look nice on your Bike!
