Made a few changes to the King. Replaced fishtails with downturns, lowered the front fender and added chrome lower forks and chrome calipers, Street Glide tail light. I'm likin' it.
I guess you're asking about the fender. I ground off the rivets and removed the stock fender brackets then welded the holes shut. Then I mounted the chrome Fatboy fender brackets to the lower legs and taped a piece of air hose to the tire to get clearance. Then redrilled the fender to match the Fatboy fender brackets. Had the fender painted and then reinstalled it. I never did like the stock position of the fender and I think it looks a ton better. Lot of work, but I like subtle changes.
Here is my 2016 Road King. Ive been doing a little customizing. Took the hard bags off and replaced them with a set of Leatherworks LLC custom made leather bags. Carlini 16 inch x 1.5 Gangster Apes. Arlen Ness micro mirrors, Mustang wide tripper solo and P pad, RC Components Gatlin 4.5 mufflers, and RC Components Tormentor headers, Stage 1 breather and download kit, DNA Fat spoke 21x3..5 front wheel, matching DNA 16x3.5 rear fat spoke wheel and Avon whitewalls. LED front and rear lighting, Dirty Air rear end air ride with the upgraded shocks. Replaced the quick release bag latches for the 2017 screw on latches. Lots of other chrome add ons here and there. Plans are to swap on the 4.5 Mufflers and add some Samson fishtail cholos, lower the front end or rake it and replace the 21 with a 23 Ride Wright Fat 50 spoke. Still undecided, I like it where its at now to be honest.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/attac...-king-fall.jpg

Looking real good. I was looking into the dirty air too, and I hahave a question. When your riding around do you inflate them all the way up to the 14" or do you just inflate to where you ride at the stock 13"?

With the upgraded shocks, you can ride with absolutely no air in them at all. So what I do is usually on long straight roads, I ride completely slammed. If I am riding curvy or bumpy roads, I'll air it up till I don't bottom out when I hit a bump. I don't ever ride at full air capacity unless I have the Ol lady on the back.
Thanks.. I prefer this look over the stretched bagger/big wheel look. I like those too, but seems like everyone is doing it, and they all look similar. So I will stay old school.
